Family Room Fresh
Have you ever had a project to work on in school, and the teacher said to give a fresh take on a particular idea or object without hardly changing it?
This was the challenge laid before me for this area.
The furniture had to be kept, but the it needed a fresh perspective. When I looked at the walls, I felt the color made the room feel tired. The color was absorbing all the natural light and didn't make you want to stay in the space. The sectional was also pushed against the wall and added in making the space feel smaller.
So, we decided to bring the seating in from up against the wall a little.
Painted the walls a fresh color that would brighten the room space and give it much needed contrast.
Then we went through the homeowners art, installed a gallery wall, and; for the final touch, added a fiddle leaf fig tree to give the space life.
All these things were simple improvement that were budget friendly and anyone can do in their own home.
