Winter Wedding
In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share one of my favorite projects that I have worked on! There was a sweet young lady who just got proposed to and was going to pack up her life and move to Africa to be a full time missionary with her future husband! What a whirlwind! I was so honored when she asked me to come up with the vision for her wedding and reception. We had little time and a tight budget.
After coming up with a couple of ideas, we went with a winter scene almost reminiscent of Narnia. The creative juices flowed in unique ways to help save money. Since she was the music director of a local church, we put out an ask for items that would be needed, such as glass bottles. We used what was in abundance around us, wood and pinecones.
Many volunteers helped, and I got a chance to meet another creative genius, Jo! We also had two teenagers dedicate sixteen hours of mural art for the space as a backdrop.
It's just incredible when you have people gather together their resources and help send off this couple in such a beautiful way.
Thank you for letting me be a small part of your wonderful story!
